Staying cool

The boys playing around in the sprinkler and pool, trying to stay cool. They've all been enjoying seeing Grandpa during the day as well! Thanks Grandpa for coming to play.

Playdate with Mason

Sam and Mason had their last playdate before Mason is a big brother. Thank you Liz for making the trip to hang out with us! We had lots of fun splashing around with you and Mason and your bump! Next time we see you there will be an addition to your family!

Family Chicken BBQ

We had a fantastic time seeing Pop's side of the family for our annual chicken bbq. Though the traveling weather wasn't great, thankfully the rain held out allowing for plenty of outside time for the cousins. Sam loved fishing for a prize (he loves the dumptruck and thought the fishing was the coolest) and did even better this year than last year in the peanut scramble.
It was so nice to see everyone!

Outdoor Guys

Here are a few pics of Sam and Dad's favorite thing to do, play outdoors. Sam loves to learn from Dad about walking through the woods (yes, there are trees and branches everywhere that will whip you in the face and arms as Sam learned). And who doesn't love the stream? Sam will play endlessly with the frogs and other things Dad catches for him.

Week 2 of Vacation

POTTY TRAINING!! So, we've taken quite a large step this week, tackling potty training. Sam is doing really great with it. It is harder on me I think.......staying close to home and waiting and reading patiently while we wait for the magic on the throne to happen, haha! He's been doing really well, though I hear this whole process takes 6-9 months before a child totally gets the hang of it. After a week of potty training, we have been able to go out to dinner in undies and take 2 hour car trips without accidents, so bravo Sammy!! (the accidents seem to occur closer to home!) I thought about posting a picture to document this huge event, but am not so sure of it's appropriateness!
