HEAT WAVE!

Sam kept cool by squirting himself in the face with a hose.....in addition to everything else in site. I managed to only take these two pictures, I was caught up in enjoying the heat and keeping Sam and his cousins busy in the pool and wagon.

Easter pics!

Here's Sam dressed in his Sunday best for Easter Sunday. Thank you Mom Mom V. for hosting Easter lunch. You are recovering like a true Spring Chicken. Sam and his cousin Cole had their own language, they looked at the lights and danced in the kitchen. They also participated in a very adult-guided rendition of an easter egg hunt, they're not too into it yet. We headed to Grandma and Grandpa's for dessert. I think kids of all ages enjoyed too much candy on Easter. Check out cousin Jake covered in cookie!

Playdates

Sam loves to play with other children. Here he is enjoying himself at a moonbounce recreationaly center with his buddy Jason, and rolling around in the backyard with his friend Grace. Thanks to both of you and your mommies for playing with us! We'll see you again soon!

"Gimme a smile!"

Do you tilt your head when you smile? Daddy started telling Sammy to "Gimme a smile" and Sam cocks his head to the side and gives a huge smile. I am going to try to use this phrase to capture more smiles photos. You all know how hard it is to get a good pic of these little guys.

Happy Guy

Sam is really a happy kid. He finds so much joy in the small things in life and really cracks daddy and I up. He loves to laugh and his personality is really blossoming. He has this great belly laugh and his whole face lights up, he has been doing that from a young age, but more recently has been doing things on purpose to make us laugh. He recently stuck his finger in a remote control dinosaur that opens and closes his mouth and pretended that his finger was being bit, saying "Ow!" with a huge smile until we cracked up. He lights up my world.

Mom Mom and Pop's

We visited Mom Mom and Pop's last weekend. Sam had lots of fun running around in the yard and spending quality time with the grandparents. They have all kinds of different toys for him to play with. If you look closely at the dark picture, you may be able to see the outline of a Barbie doll (I included that picture for Dad!).

Sam and Daddy always have a really fun time. Here's Dad getting a workout throwing Sam in the air as Sam squeals with delight, asking for more before he even makes it all the way down again.
